FIELD MANAGER
TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS- 12 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS- 13 level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted). In order to qualify for this Field Managerat the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have at least one-year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 level in Federal service performing the following duties 1) implementing a complex land and natural resource programs; 2) coordinating land and resource planning and management with federal, state or local governments; 3) ensuring proper utilization of personnel, equipment, material and finances for field offices; and 4) implementing education and training programs for subordinate staff. Normally works in an office setting with occasionally trips to the field. Occasionally required to walk moderately long distances over rough terrain during normal field work. Working Conditions:
Office work is accomplished in an adequately lighted and heated facility. When in-the field, subject to injuries when walking in rough terrain and exposure to uncomfortable hot and cold temperatures. Incumbent will adhere to all safety rules and regulations as prescribed in manuals/supplements or by the designated Safety Officer.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
