Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To be creditable, this experience must have been for 1 year and equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade of the position to be filled. (If the position was seasonal, your resume must show periods worked. You may qualify at the GS-7 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualification requirements:
Have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-6 in the federal service, that provided experience in Have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-6 in the federal service, that provided experience in 1)providing guidance to injured employees regarding their rights and entitlements; 2)processing worker's compensation documentation using automated system; 3) maintaining injury compensation claim files; and 4) coordinating the submission of completed documentation of injuries. Work is performed in an office setting; however, occasional work site reviews to field offices and incident bases will require some hiking over rough terrain. During fire season, the position demands long hours under stress, and on call status. While assigned to emergency incidents activity includes air travel and environments of smoke, inclement weather, and limited living conditions. Working Conditions:
The work environment is primarily in an office setting, and associated outdoor complex. Field work is required, with moderate hazard conditions related to fire suppression.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
