Excellent critical thinking skills and judgment with the demonstrated ability to analyze and apply legal and policy standards to fact patterns.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively, manage multiple high priorities and deadlines, and maintain detailed records with minimal supervision.
Cultural competence and sensitivity and the ability to conduct effective investigations with a trauma-informed approach.
Independent and sound judgment with the ability to remain impartial and neutral throughout all aspects of the investigative process and in highly emotional situations.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively individually and as a member of a busy team.
Ability to calmly and efficiently manage difficult, confidential, and sensitive issues with professionalism in a complex organization.
Ability and willingness to periodically travel and work evenings and weekends as duties require.
Computer proficiency including MS Excel and Word.
Experience in a higher education, legal, law enforcement, employment, journalism, or regulatory compliance setting (or substantially related area).
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of training, along with at least two years of investigatory experience.
A preference will be given to individuals who hold a J.
D.
with demonstrated evidence/fact gathering experience requiring interviews.
Strong skills in the areas of conflict resolution, problem-solving techniques, interviewing, and investigation.
Demonstrated investigatory experience gathering facts.
Demonstrated analytical and/or problem-solving capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to present ideas clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
Demonstrated excellent judgment with the ability to manage sensitive or confidential information.
Position Details:
This is a full-time, exempt staff position with a competitive salary and full employee benefits package.
UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental, and vision care coverage.
New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
