is an aviation ground handling company founded in 1984.
Owned and operated locally, Omni can handle any size of aircraft from small commuters to C-130 cargo aircraft, as well as all Boeing, Airbus and ANTONOV models currently in service.
The Customer Service Agent position provides a variety of activities related to customer facing (above the wing) servicing of aircraft and passengers.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for assisting customers with travel needs such as answering inquiries, ticketing, checking-in passengers, and boarding flights in a fast-paced environment.
- Sell tickets and ensure cabin accommodations.
- Lifting and positioning baggage on a conveyor belt.
- Perform computer and paperwork tasks.
- Learn airline specific terminology and procedures.
- Evaluate and prepare flights by arranging seat assignments.
- Perform boarding and gate duties, such as checking flight tickets, assisting and directing passengers, making announcements.
- Processing and securing passenger luggage - Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a Federal background check.
- Must be at least 18 years old - Must be authorized to work in the U.
S.
- High school diploma or equivalent required - Type at least 25 WPM is required.
- Familiar with working on a desktop computer and in computer-based programs.
- Must be able to follow established procedures and must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in day-to-day activities.
- Must look for ways to improve and promote quality of service.
- Must apply feedback to improve performance.
- Must observe safety and security procedures.
- Report potentially unsafe conditions and use computer equipment and airline materials properly.
- Must be consistently able to report to work on time.
- Must be able to work effectively with a minimum of supervision or support.
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Knowledge of operation of aircraft terminal equipment and previous experience preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to get along with others.
- Must be flexible to work any shift assigned within a 24 hour/day, 7 day/week operation including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
Hours can include late nights and early mornings.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Able to anticipate needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work at a constant and quick pace for up to two hours at a time.
- Able to learn quickly and understand and interpret flight schedules and airline flight destination information.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
