Bookstore Associate Overview:
The Literacy Council of Alaska is looking for a Bookstore Associate responsible for duties in both the store and warehouse of Forget-Me-Not Books, our second-hand bookstore.
Store duties include providing excellent customer service, display maintenance, carrying out sales initiatives, and cashiering.
Warehouse duties include sorting, cleaning, and pricing inventory.
Our ideal candidate has strong organization and multi-tasking skills, customer service experience, and is detail-oriented.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is required.
Forget-Me-Not Books sells thousands of books each year and receives even more, so we are looking for a motivated team member who loves books and wants to change lives through literacy!

Sorting, cleaning, pricing, and shelving inventory Organizing, alphabetizing, and maintaining storefront shelves Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner Meet or exceed sales goals by actively promoting products and offers Cashiering; opening and closing procedures Receiving community book donations and presorting based on donation criteria Scanning books to assess value Working Saturdays for building-wide sales (3-4 times a year) Attend bookstore and staff meetings, and annual staff retreat Other duties as assigned Job Skills and
Qualifications:
