Job DescriptionPOSITION PURPOSE:
Performs project management responsibilities, which may include estimating, primarily on large sized construction project(s) in the $3M-20M range.
This includes managing multiple task orders, or on larger construction projects, including coordination of design, procurement, and construction activities.
When assigned to only a segment of a larger project, this role develops a complete understanding of the contract and any relevant subcontracts in order to provide full support to the overall project management team.
The PM will work primarily with federal clients including the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Air Force, Army DPW and US Coast Guard on medium to large construction projects.
The PM will manage, plan, and coordinate, with the superintendent, all activities of the project to ensure that goals and/or objectives of projects are accomplished within the project time frame and budget.
Position will be located in Anchorage, with travel to project sites within Alaska.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND

Reviews project proposal/plan with Superintendent to determine time frame, funding limitations, staffing requirements, self-performance or subcontractOrganizes and oversees jobsite administration and field supervisionAssists in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
Works with subcontract administrator to ensure specific subcontracts are in-place early in the project life cycle.
Monitors the progress schedule and its periodic revisions ensuring project stays on trackProvide cost estimating support during the bidding process for upcoming jobs and projects.
Works with owners and end users during the life cycle of the project.
This position is primarily for federal clients including USACE, Air Force, and US Coast Guard.
Ensures site safety is at the forefront of each project.
Works with SSHO to ensure a safety culture on all projects managed.
Works with the Superintendent to identify and resolve any project related issues/changesDevelops long term schedule, project budget, milestones, and projections for projectsEstablishes and maintains relationships with the owner, contracting agency, design professionals, building officials, local businesses, and emergency supportPrepares project budgets and cost codesPrepares project reports, financial updates, and scorecards for management, client, and othersPrepares and submits Design Clarification / Verification Requests (DCVR) and change ordersDevelops project schedule with the Superintendent and project controls.

Experience and expertise with civil and vertical construction projects is desirable.
Coordinates with designers and operations team to ensure proper implementation of design with project constructability.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.

Project management experience for vertical and civil construction projects is highly desirable.
Federal government contract and project experience, with emphasis on DOD and the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) specifically.
Experience managing large USACE construction projects is highly desirable.
Has experience managing USACE construction project(s) of at least $3M.
Experience managing USACE construction project(s) over $10M is desirable.
Possess at least five (5) years of relevant construction experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years.
Relevant experience includes, but not limited to, experience as Project Manager in the construction industry managing projects of $3 million or greater.
Experience managing construction projects in excess of $10M is desirable, as well as significant experience managing multiple task orders per calendar year.
