Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant provides clerical support for the Human Resources office with three primary functions:
1) Assisting with the implementation, training and maintenance of the online Absence Management system and finding substitutes, 2) Providing administrative support to the Human Resources team to include applicant tracking, administrative assistant duties, and reception, 3) Under direction from the Human Resources Manager, handles, audits, and archives confidential personnel records for the district.
This position acts as the point of contact for applicants, substitutes, and visitors to the Human Resources Department.
The incumbent must be extremely organized, able to change tasks as needed during the workday, show attention to detail, have the ability to maintain confidentiality, and work in a team environment under strict deadlines and procedures.
Duties include:
Recruits subsitutes Tracks and assures completion of applicant and new hire paperwork (both paper and electronic) Serves as the primary point of contact for Districtwide phone inquiries Assists HR staff during crunch times in the hiring cycle Maintains the HR filing system (to include electronic records) MINIMUM
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to maintain confidentiality PC computer experience using databases and web-based systems Excellent communication skills Highly organized PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Three to five years progressive clerical experience Filing, record keeping and report writing Knowledge of MS Office software, Frontline products (Applicant Tracking, Absence Management), iVisions, and Google Suite Capable of working independently as well as in a team COMPENSATION:
This is a full-time 12-month position.
While school is in-session the typical working hours are 7:

The starting salary is $24.
62 per hour (DOE) plus the District's excellent benefit package including health, dental, vision and life insurance, Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), and paid sick and vacation days.
Selected hire will be fingerprinted at applicant's expense and fingerprints forwarded to the Alaska State Troopers and the FBI for a records check.
