Summary:
The University of Alaska Human Resources department is looking for two part time office assistants to perform general office duties.
The position is located on the UAF campus and offers 14 hours/week split into 2-4 days, based on the candidate's availability.
Duties include greeting visitors, processing mail, digitizing personnel files, and handling vendor checks.

100%Greet visitors and respond to inquiries, referring to an HR Generalist as appropriate Process incoming mail and faxes Complete employee verifications and requests for information from the State of Alaska Unemployment Office Process vendor checks and returned employee checks Import and index personnel file documents Assist with equipment inventory and office space set up Other administrative support tasks as neededEssential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of professional level office methods and practices.
Basic knowledge of computer operations and software applications, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to pay close attention to detail.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Preferred
Experience:
Prior work in an office setting preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Salary Information:
This is a part-time, 12-month, temporary staff position.
New hires will be placed on the UA temporary staff salary schedule, Grade 75.
