This temporary clerical job posting is unique as multiple campuses within the College of Rural and Community Development may be hiring from this pool of applicants.
The posting is designed to aid in filling an unexpected vacancy or an urgent need on a part-time or full-time, temporary basis.

Duties include the monitoring of (occasional) Saturday (approx.
6 hours) of Praxis testing.
Work one or more weeknights a week.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and organization principles Excellent writing, spelling, punctuation and grammar for correspondence and reports.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work independently; attention to detail; determine priorities; meet multiple deadlines and have basic fiscal skills.
Previous experience working with the public.
Ability to operate a multi-line phone system.
Knowledge of purchasing procedures.
Ability to arrange travel.
Ability to perform inventory.
Problem-solving/decision-making skills.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Candidate must have demonstrated proficiency with MS products (Excel, MS Word), ability to use computer scheduling programs, websites/Internet Explorer, and the ability to send and download electronic documents through the Internet.
Preferred Experience & Education:
6 months to 3 years office/administrative experience or equivalent.
Experience working with the public.
Required Experience & Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Salary Information:
This is a part-time, 6-month, temporary staff position.
New hires will be placed on the UA temporary salary schedule, Grade 74, based on education and experience.
Please note the following regions have a geographic differential that will be incorporated into the final salary amount:
Bethel (38%) Dillingham, Aleutian Islands, Adak, Sand Point, Bristol Bay (27%) Kotzebue (42%) Additional locations might have applicable geographic differential and the appropriate hiring authority will discuss this upon a request to offer.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
