Overview:
The Maintenance Technician reports to the Head of Maintenance, with work duties in a variety of maintenance & grounds tasks.
We are especially seeking someone who is a self-motivated, driven learner.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Head of Maintenance, perform duties independently and in collaboration, across numerous areas, including:
refurbishing (patching sheetrock, texturing, painting, repairing/replacing fixtures and hardware, etc.
) residential plumbing repair flooring repair mechanical systems (heating, plumbing, air handling) control systems alarm systems groundskeeping Additional
Responsibilities:
Monitoring systems, identifying problems, and troubleshooting.
Determining which tasks can be done in-house and which require outside contractors.
Setup for events hosted at Raven Landing.
Supporting activities include ordering parts, communicating with contractors, and coordinating activities with fellow staff members.
Duties include work requests from current residents, preparing apartments for new tenants, periodic regular maintenance, and other tasks assigned by the Head of Maintenance.
Qualifications:
Experience and skill in a variety of areas (see 1st bullet under Responsibilities above), though it is not necessary to have experience in all areas.
General mechanical aptitude Problem-solving mindset and can-do attitude Skill in diagnosing problems, utilizing a variety of resources to determine the appropriate fix Ability and motivation to learn new systems, new skills, etc.

It is desirable to overlap with but also complement the schedule of the Head of Maintenance.
