Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Guest Service / Reservations Lead.
As a Lead, you will be expected to take a leadership role as a member of the guest service / reservations team to ensure the successful execution of all support activities required to achieve expectations-exceeding travel experiences with our guests in Alaska's Arctic.
This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
Provide leadership/guidance on guest service / reservations issues as they arise.
Make logistical decisions related to yield management.
Answer and appropriately direct phone calls.
Greet walk-ins and appropriately respond to needs.
Respond to phone and walk-in inquiries.
Take phone, walk-in, fax, mail, and e-mail reservations.
Execute required follow-up on and confirmation of guest reservations.
Produce experience-related documents.
Operate 15-passenger van to shuttle guests to/from terminal as required.
Perform flight-planning and flight-following responsibilities.
Assist with phone, fax, mail, e-mail, and label inquiry fulfillment as required.
Assist with other reservations activities as required.
Assist with other guest service activities as required.
Assist with ramp activities as required.
Assist with accounting activities as required.
Assist with other tasks or activities as required.
Skills:
- Previous experience in visitor industry, hospitality or related field preferred - Knowledge of tour operations, including reservations, logistics & scheduling, and guest services - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Proficient in using phone systems and computer software for reservations and guest management Join our team as a Guest Service / Reservations Lead and enjoy a rewarding career in the visitor industry.
